Updates, or the lack of it rather.

Things have been moving too fast these few days.
Weekends have been filled with lists of things to do,
while weekdays have been hectic with the exam period.
Although I'm no teacher, but we can definately see the link between,
vomitting, abdominal pain and exams. =p

Sunday was the 49th day which when my grandma passed away.
It's such a comfort to know that she's at where she should be now.
I never never regretted singing the christian songs to her before she passed on at about 2 plus that faithful Monday morning. I remember that something (or someone?) prompted me to just sing to her. And i did, softly for a good 30mins. Then not long after, we went out to eat some snacks which my cousin went to buy and by the time i went back into the ward, her heartbeat had stopped.

Such is the frailty of life.
Ms Ang said that its normal to see death in the hospital.
I mean.. where else can you find people dying.
But.. it's never normal to see a 6 year old pass away within the span of 5 days without any prior known medical conditions.

I marvel at the human nature.
It's ability to cope with grief, disaster and pain.
we numb the pain.
we replace it with something else.
flowers, cartoons, chocolates, bungee jumping, reading, movie watching etc.
we do things to make sure that everything seems normal again.
we hide, cope, deny, shut out pain in every possible way.
and we hope that by some divine intervention, we are alright.
So when are we really alright?
